Children's Development: What to Expect and When to Be Concerned

In addition to general health, a child's growth is
physical, social, and mental. Children learn throughout their lives,
starting at birth. We need to monitor their development very early and can
do this through observing how children play, learn, speak, and behave.
While the majority of children develop on a similar
path and meet developmental milestones, we also must be aware of what the
key milestones are and when a child is not meeting these. While all children
are unique, there are some key indicators or "red flags" that we can
monitor. This class will give you tools to help you monitor child's
development and recognize possible areas of concern.
Children’s Development: What to Expect and When to Be
Concerned is based on
CICC Project EXCEPTIONAL training on red flags, typical and atypical
development, and when/how to share concerns with family.
This course can be presented in 1 or 2 two hour workshops.
